The Republic Day of India: A Great National Festival

Posted by Naveen Mayura s On Sunday, 25 January 2015 0 comments
Unity in Diversity

I have great pleasure in extending my warm greetings and best wishes to all my fellow citizens. The Spirit of Indians in building the nation, it’s time to salute the Nation and also say “proud to Be an Indian”!

Many Indians struggled for over many years in shaping our nation. They are the key roles to make this nation what it is today.  So, to remembering and paying tribute to those brave hearts we have three national festivals which we celebrate every year as tribute giving occasions. Namely Republic day, Independence Day and Gandhi jayanthi.

It is time to celebrate the Republic day anniversary of India. Not only celebrate but also implement new ideas and good habit’s to build a even better nation. Today we are all saying that “proud to be an Indian”. Why? What is the reason, how India is made us to be proud of our self. What we have paid or pay to India in return?

Coming to the point.

India is not, as people keep calling it, as an underdeveloped country, but rather, in contains of its history and cultural heritage, a highly developed one in an advanced country of decay. Many foreign kings looted our country, Many foreigners ruled our country, Many insignificant politicians also looted our country. But still India  stands for its own special.

India as a great history which makes every Indian as proud Indian. Because the nation is not just build by Indian Constitution. It is build by giving many sacrifices, blood and involvement of pain and tears. In 1600AD east India Company and many foreigners came to India. And started acquiring and ruling India. at last India was completely under the control of British government and faced a lot of trouble from them. In 1857 some real patriots stood up for the nation and started a revolution against the British rule. Millions of people fought against the British and gave their breath for shaping India. A peep into the past will make our hearts heavy and eyes filled with tears. After the long time, after much revolution India got free from British rule in 1947. But does not had a standard rule and regulation. Some rules and regulation were required to drive the country. So a committee was organized under the chairmanship of B.R. Ambedkar. which was given the work of writing the constitution for India. To prepare the complete satisfied Indian constitution it took nearly three years, On November 4, 1947, the drafted document was submitted and after many negotiations, debates, and modifications the document was approved and signed by all the members of the Assembly on January 24, 1950. Two days later that on January 26, 1950, the constitution of India came into effect. Eventually, the political powers were taken away from the British and India became a 'Republic'.

In Indian history 26th January signifies the adoption of Indian Constitution in 1950. On this day India finally enjoyed the freedom of spirit, rule of law and fundamental principle of Governance. Republic Day is a day of the citizen of the country when he is entitled to be ‘all chief'. The word republic means a country that is ruled by people, elected by the the people of that nation. Every year the day is celebrated most magnificently in the capital State of India, New Delhi.  And also the day is celebrated with much enthusiasm throughout the country. As an Indian it is our duty to pay grand salutes to our great freedom warriors those who have made it desirable with their sweat, tears, and blood, for us. They struggled for Indian democracy and freedom. Today we enjoy the fruits of their struggle.

When we became republic country, things started changing. The command of country was in the people of the country. Elections were started and people selected their representative. For sure we have done a lot of Improvements after becoming republic but many problems like corruption and unemployment has grown up rapidly. So we need to find the solution for these problems, only then our country can become the best place on earth to live. On the eve of Republic day, cultural programmes are arranged in school, colleges and different public places. Political and social meeting also arranged for considering social and national issues. National flag is furled not only at government offices but also at public places. National anthem beats inspire the countrymen with feelings of patriotism.

In our development, even before Independence we had placed our emblem in some fields and after which our progress was huge. The world class kings  like Asoka and Akbar were born in India. the famous saint swami Vivekananda was born in India. We bought a Scientists like sir C.V.Raman, Dr. Abdul Kalam, and famous mathematician Ramanujan; we have excellent sports icon like Sachin Tendulkar, We have brilliant musician who had won two ascars at a time. Many people made our India as proud. Now it is the time for you. What you are go to pay for you country?

Unity in diversity has been the biggest symbol of our country. Now, it is time take a promise,  all of us that we will take some small steps to make our country a great nation, a better place for all, which always stands for human values. And there is only one caste, one religion, and that is 'Indian' Together, we all salute the Indian Flag and pay tribute to all our freedom warriors.

“The future depends on what we do in the present” be the change you want to see in the world. I feel that we make our progress in the good direction in the coming days and the feeling of oneness  remains in the progressive days of tomorrow.

Jai Hind. Jai Bharat!!

Books are our best classmates: A pearl residency of Knowledge.

Books are the wonderful and amazing gift for any mankind. It is the real treasure of knowledge to anyone in the universe. I am sure you will always agree this. Because for everyone, only the books are leading them in their life to be successful. Man cannot live alone. He needs some friends to get in time pass. Most of the people having the hobby of reading books when they are alone. The company of books gives you knowledge, solutions and many creative ideas. Every successful human being was succeeding by their habits and books.

Human beings are always students of books. The real guru in our life is only the books, there are lots of books. Books make us as a teacher, as a student, as a blogger, as a doctor, as a engineer, as a scientist etc, etc, etc.

Books which never demand anything for the service they provide to us. They educate us, they entertain us, they motivate us, and they shape us. The kingdom of books is as big as universe. There are books on literature, history, science, fiction, art, culture, architecture, civilization, fashion, technology, philosophy, etc. There is no sphere of life which has not been explored by the books. they are written in all languages of the world. They pass the knowledge and information from generation and generation. Helps us in innovation. They thrill us according to our taste.
Great scholars, scientists ,intellectuals, reformers and men of learning remain very close to books. They not only benefited themselves but also contributed a lot to their coming generations. The glamour’s progress of today, the ease and facility in every sphere of life is the result of books written by great people. The books of science and technology are very helpful for our young students. These volumes make our students more proficient in their relative subjects. These books are a gateway to new inventions and discoveries. The books on history make the man learned, wise, and his decision power strengthens wonderfully.

Books are not just for history, but for present and future also. The books are the mixture of reflection and different dimensions. They also brings you smile, just remember the memories of book you read form your start, the beautiful words and colorful pictures brings you smile. Reading book is an inspiration, playing with words inside it gives you strength, discussing it with others increase your knowledge. the important points of a book. Sometimes true, sometimes false, words inside it makes us laugh, sometimes cry, sometimes exciting, books are also like human- different faces with different stories, different climax. Without books this world would decline. They help to increase our interest. They expand our outlook. They enrich our thoughts. They give us inspiration to do great things in life. Reading books make every doubt clear- about our past also about our present. These are not only for kids; these are also for aged and for our youth too. They help us in understanding different aspects of life.

Hopefully, we’ll have a kind of more interesting topic as well… this space! This contains no fruit juice or pulp. Contains added flavor.

Every time there are number of questions in our mind and books are the best things to find out the answers to our questions. they are great source of entertainment and recreation. Big stories with sweet endings, some are easy to know, Reading is not the game of one day, keen learners and good readers are hard to find in this present generation. So, it's very important to tell future generation about the significance of reading as well as books. We should make reading as a habit not as a work to do. Its power helps you to overcome the past, change your situations, fight new obstacles and make better decisions.

We cannot even imagine the importance the books plays in our life. Thorough knowledge of these books and implementing them has taken many towards enlightenment. Reading the book dedicatedly with interest adds a lot to our knowledge and recognition. Books provide us company in both good and bad times. Books are the pearls of wisdom. Library is a place of peace, solitude and serenity. Hours can be spent in the library reading books. If we look into our career point of view, books keeps up abreast with current affairs and provides us with each and every subject to prepare for the competitive. Books are the most sincere, faithful and never falling friends. Everybody may deceive you but books will always remain beside during your bad times. “Life is a dish, Reading books is to smell it”. Thus books purify our thoughts and also make our thoughts devoted. So, I feel that one should always enjoy the company of books and regard the selfless nature of the books to each and every individual.

"Value of books is greater than gems, because gems show outer beauty while books radiate inner self". Reading a good novel or story will open a window and give you a view of things you never dreamed possible. Reading can help us to accomplish truly amazing things and at the same time is one of the best ways to reduce your stress level and can even help you by gaining the knowledge you need to solve problems. In the long run, it doesn't matter what you read but how much you read. The more you read, the more you will want to read because you will quickly discover the short and long term benefits of stress reduction in your life. The lessons of a lifetime of learning and success can be transferred from the pages of a book to your heart, mind and soul in a few short hours.

In the ancient times when man initially learnt how to live and the wheel of civilization started moving, he needed to save this information and memories somewhere. Perhaps it was the time when he too realized the necessity of writing. Man started knowing the art of writing gradually like everything else when he felt the need.

The true influence of your Habits – Your Habits are creating your future!

Habits

Hello Shoppers, Today I Have a shocking message to you all. Please, be calm! . ” Never forget, the world is yours”. You have already holding the secret of your future success in your hand! Yes, The secret of your success is your habit. Your habits shape you. It helps you to do preparation, hard work, learning from failures. There are no secrets to success. It is the result of your habits. Habits which reminds us, the power of repeated actions that we take day by day . Successful habits turn our goals from dreams and wishes into our new reality. If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. Wow! Sounds complicated.

First thing I want to say before you are going to read this full post. you must take some challenges. Its nothing, you need to ask these five questions and answer it. not one day but every day, its a good habit. The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that just little extra. Success is the sum of small efforts – repeated day in and day out. So Please ask these questions to yourself.

1.Who I am
2.Why I am here
3.What is my dream?
4.What I want to do?
5.What I have done?

Count how many times these question are creating interest to you and how many times these question are boring to you.

Habits which shapes you, here is a Small example : If you change your habits for reading books and if your pick good books it will change you and your interactions with other people as good. If you read bad books it will change you and your interactions with other people as bad. That all, It's Simple.

The way your life will turn out, may be this year or next years from now, is the result of an aggregation of all your current habits. Everything in our lives is directed by our habits. Starting from how you get out from the bed in the morning, to how you dress, to how do you style ,to how you speak, think and most importantly how you act and react, are all supervised by your habits. Your routines or habits regulate how you respond to practically every set of prospects which transverse our path. They determine, whether you will take the daily action you need to take in order to achieve your goals, what you will think about all day, how you will retain to any challenges, which will cross your path and they drive you every day, to be disciplined or lazy.

Habit which you start doing it without really thinking about it, it just helps you relax, or pay attention, or feel better about yourself. It is very Important when we are selecting our habits thoughtfully or carefully. Because the bad habits may cause for your failures. habits which we develop in our life that will determine whether we ever reach our goals or not. This is where the challenge lies, when you introduce this new success habit building process into your life. You need to know where you want your life to go, identify the bad habits, which are not serving you and work to replace them with the success habits that will. Make a list of your helpful habits. Create your list; listen to how you feel when you look at each of your present habits. Do they bring your satisfaction, efficiency or fun? Do they serve a good purpose in your life? Or does the habit interfere with your wellbeing or the well being of others? Honor those habits that work for you as they can free you up so you can make other changes in your life.

No one starts doing something expecting it to become a permanent part of their life. Just Remind of time we have given up trying to change our habit we collapse back to our old ways and hope that next year we will be more successful. We use these mental everyday when we are stressed. when we face disappointment we have a mental habitual responses that deal with all our sensetive trouble.

If you create good habits its automatically pave your way as positive and successful. It starts with the evident. We do things over and over, and they become our habits. With your motivation in mind, set aside time on a regular basis. Having a habit, we have to do it a lot of times, thus making it part of ourselves. Once you stuck to your habit, it is in control more than you are, and without conscious effort to break or alter the habit, you will continue until your dying day. That’s just how it goes.

A tribute to lord sun - Pongal 'O' Pongal...!- Happy Makara Sankranti

Posted by Naveen Mayura s On Wednesday, 14 January 2015 0 comments
happy Pongal

Makara Sankranti ( Pongal ) is the most widely celebrated Hindu harvest festival dedicated to the Sun God, Which is celebrated in various region of India. it is also known by different names and celebrated with different folkways in different provinces of india. Most popularly celebrated in Karnataka (Sankranthi), Andhra pradesh (Sankranthi) and Tamil Nadu (Pongal).

Special significance of pongal is the beginning of new journey of the Sun God towards north on this particular day as it is believed to have a favorable impact on life and well being.

In India as I said Sankranti is known by different regional names is below mentioned
(Pongal) Tamil Nadu. (Makara Sankranti) - Karnataka, Kerala,Andhra Pradesh, telangana, Goa,Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Jharkhand,  Madhya Pradesh,  Manipur, Uttarakhand, Bihar,  Chhattisgarh, Odishaand West Bengal (Uttarayan) Gujarat. (Maghi) Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. The day before, people of Punjab celebrate Lohri. (Bhogali Bihu) Assam. (Khichdi) Uttar Pradesh and Bihar

In other countries too the day is celebrated but under different names and in different ways. Nepal ( Maghe Sankranti) , Thailand( Songkran), Myanmar (Thingyan) Cambodia( Moha Sangkran) Sri Lanka( Pongal, Uzhavar Thirunal)

As my knowledge I think among these, sankranti is most famous is in tamilnadu (Pongal) which is celebrated for the jubilation of getting new crops for harvesters. This will be celebrated for four days as a thanksgiving occasion in which harvesters pay honour to the Sun god, nature and cattle's for their contribution in agricultural activities. The festival is celebrated over a period of four days, between January 13 and January 16. The last day of the 'Maargazhi' month of the Tamil calendar which falls on January 13th is celebrated as Bhogi Pongal. The other three days of festivities fall on the 'Thai' month. In orderly Thai Pongal, Mattu Ponal and Kanum Pongal. Each of these festive celebrations is unique in its concept which has its own standards and way of celebration. This festival is celebrated with great shine and devotion in which people clean their houses, wear new clothes and make colourful rangoli (also known as Kolam) at the main entrance of their houses and cook delicious cuisine. In North Karnataka, kite flying with community members is also a tradition. The colourful and vivid celebrations of Pongal remain the much awaited festive activity of tamilnadu.

The First Day - Bhogi Pongal
The first day of Pongal is celebrated as Bhogi Pongal. On this day people clean their homes and collect all unwanted things which are thrown in fire lighted by using cow-dung cakes and woods. This ritual is called Bhogi.

The Second Day - Surya Pongal or Thai pongal
Surya or Thai Pongal is the most important day in Pongal festival series in which the Sun god is praised. It is the main day of the festival, falling on the first day of the Tamil month Thai. It is the day when festive celebration begins. On this day family gather outside their home and cook 'pongal' in new clay pots. It is celebrated by boiling rice with fresh milk and jaggery in new pots, which are later topped with brown sugar, cashew nuts and raisins early in the morning and allowing it to boil over the vessel. This tradition gives Pongal its name. When the rice overflows from the pot, the people shout 'Pongal O Pongal' as they dedicate the first grain and pay tribute to the Sun. The overflowing of rice symbolizes a fortunate farming season. It is also the first day of the Tamil month Thai.

The Third Day - Mattu Pongal
The third day of Pongal is dedicated to cattle and is known as Mattu Pongal. People offer prayers to the bulls, cows and other farm animals for their contribution in agriculture. On this day cattle are bathed, oiled and decorated with shining metal caps and their horns are painted in bright colors. Tinkling bells, flower garlands and sheaves of corn are tied around their necks.
Jallakatu is a very famous game played in certain parts of Tamil Nadu. Hundreds of youth line up to hold a bull by its horn and tackle it with bare hands. The sport, though dangerous to both man and cattle, attracts thousands of viewers from all over the world every year.

The Fourth Day - Kaanum Pongal
The fourth day of Pongal celebration is Kaanum Pongal. It is the time of joint family celebrations in which people decorate their home with Kolam in decorative pattern made up of rice flour which is drawn on the floor or outside the door. It is the painted prayers and welcome sign that brings prosperity to home. Also in which people visit their friends and relatives for wishing , blessing, exchanging sweets, gifts and greetings.

Any way dear Shoppers(Readers) its time to say Happy sankranti,( Sankranti subhashayagalu) (Sankranti subhakangshayalu) Happy Pongal,( Iniya Pongal Nalvazhthukkal)
Hope this pongal brings you happiness, peace and prosperity

Thank you, Keep in touch.
